Account Caps

A frequency cap
for every account on your list.

Ad networks cap frequency per person, so a few big companies take most of the budget while small accounts never see you. Account Caps cap each company: you choose how many impressions an account may get every 7 days, IntentBid checks it every day on LinkedIn and Microsoft and keeps the budget spread over your whole list.

Per company, not per person

A cap of 7 means each company sees the ads up to 7 times every 7 days, summed over all its people.

Groups with their own budget

Put audiences or tiers into ad groups, each with its % of the budget, its roles and its own cap.

Single accounts too

Give a key account more, a small one less: a cap for any account, even 200 accounts each with their own.

LinkedIn and Microsoft at once

One list, one budget split between the two networks, one report of impressions per account.

How the cap works

Once a day IntentBid reads the last 7 days of impressions (and, if you set it, spend) by company from LinkedIn and Microsoft. An account that reached its cap is taken off the campaign targeting; when its 7-day count falls below 80 % of the cap it is put back. The networks report about a day late, so an account can go slightly over before it is paused.

Set it up in minutes

  1. Add the accounts: upload a CSV (with an optional cap column), paste domains, or tick audiences and TAL lists.
  2. Plan the groups: one click puts every audience in its own ad group, or everything in one; set each group's share of the budget and its cap.
  3. Pick the channels: LinkedIn, Microsoft or both, with one daily budget.
  4. Approve: every group and channel is created paused; you switch them on.

Straight answers.

Why not just use the network frequency cap?

Network caps count per person. A company with 5,000 employees can take hundreds of impressions while a 50-person target account gets none. A cap per company keeps every account in view.

How many accounts can a campaign take?

Up to 500 accounts per Account Caps campaign, split into as many groups as you need.

Does it cost extra?

Account Caps are included in the plan. You pay LinkedIn and Microsoft directly for the media, with 0% fee on your spend.
