The Get started page
How the Get started page tracks your setup: website script, ChatGPT Ads, Google Ads and your first campaign.
Get started in the menu shows your setup progress as a ring and four steps. Each step checks its status live, so you don't have to mark anything done yourself.
The four steps
- Website script. Turns to Installed when the first page view arrives from your domain. Until then you see the script to copy and install instructions.
- ChatGPT Ads. Paste your API key right on the page. When it is accepted you see a confirmation and your campaigns load.
- Google Ads. Click Continue with Google, approve access and choose the account. If you have several accounts, you pick one.
- First campaign. Done when a campaign exists and is live in one of your ad accounts.
When something doesn't turn green
- Script not detected: visit your own site in a normal browser window (not one where you excluded your IP), then reload Get started.
- ChatGPT key rejected: check that the key belongs to the ad account, not to the OpenAI API platform. See Connect ChatGPT Ads.
- Google sends you back with an error: see Google Ads connection errors.
Once every step is done, the page stays available as a status check.
