Add competitors
Why competitors matter in IntentBid, how many to add and how they show up in AI visibility and ad reports.
Competitors turn AI visibility from "are we named?" into "who is named instead of us?".
How to add them
Add competitors during setup, in your company profile, or import a list as CSV in Import & export (one name per row). You can track up to 50.
Which competitors to add
- The three to five vendors your sales team loses deals to most often.
- The names AI already gives for your category. After a few days of tracking, IntentBid lists brands that appear often in answers but aren't on your list yet.
- Category leaders you are often compared with, even if you rarely meet them in deals.
Where competitors appear
- Competitors named: who AI recommends, per question and engine.
- Share of voice: your mentions against theirs across all tracked answers.
- Competitor ads: sponsored ChatGPT cards from competitors next to your questions.
- Gap queue: questions where a competitor is named and you are not.
